Founded on deep expertise
ORI was founded by Brant Slade, one of the most respected and accomplished supply chain executives in the country. Slade started his career as the supply chain director for Nature’s Sunshine Products, a manufacturer and distributor of health supplements and a diverse range of consumer products. He went on to become one of the most successful supply chain operations consultants at Oliver Wight, where he led major supply chain management programs for Proctor & Gamble, Apple, Sara Lee Corporation, Honeywell, and many others. At Oliver Wight, Slade helped his clients save hundreds of millions of dollars and achieve “Class A” rated supply chain operations.

Branching Out
In 2003, Slade decided to strike out on his own. He founded Operational Results Inc. (ORI) and secured Dial, E&J Gallo Winery and Schwan’s Company as initial clients. Part of Slade’s consulting involved helping clients implement technology tools for planning and coordinating demand, supply, finance, and operations. Slade found these implementations to be unnecessarily clunky and inefficient, mostly because of structural gaps in data.

Getting Technical
By 2009, Slade hired a small team to build ORI’s first technology product. Initially integrated with popular off-the-shelf data visualization tools, ORI developed its first totally bespoke data and software platform in 2013 under the leadership of James Barlow, with Will Honey added to lead product development. Today, ORI boasts the most thorough and effective solution in the industry and is trusted by elite companies including some of the world’s largest beverage businesses and restaurant chains.
